Carrie Ann Inaba Stands up on Instagram to Address Why She's Not on 'The Discussion'

On the April 26th scene of CBS's The Discussion, cohost Sheryl Underwood opened the show with some significant news about Carrie Ann Inaba.

Carrie Ann is withdrawing from nonappearance from the show to zero in on her prosperity," Sheryl shared on camera. "She likes the help from every last bit of her fans and her family here at The Discussion. Carrie Ann, we miss you and we anticipate having you back with us soon."

Carrie Ann's takeoff comes only fourteen days after The Discussion got back to CBS. The show had been on a month-long break provoked by a discussion including previous cohost Sharon Osbourne. Sharon left the television show program in late Walk after a live quarrel with Sheryl about bigotry.

The same day Sheryl announced Carrie Ann's temporary departure, the Dancing With the Stars judge posted an Instagram video of herself explaining her decision.

"Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know personally that I have decided to take a leave of absence from The Talk to focus on my wellbeing. I know you guys understand, health is the most important thing," Carrie Ann said in the video.

"So, I appreciate your support, I appreciate the love and support from The Talk family, and I hope to be back soon. Take care and I'll keep you updated. Thank you."
So far, Carrie Ann hasn't provided more details on the state of her health now.

During a January Talk segment, Carrie Ann shared that she had been experiencing a few lingering effects of COVID-19 after testing positive back in December.
It's unclear if her previous COVID bout is related to her current health situation.
For years, Carrie Ann has been open about her autoimmune diseases and health issues, including lupus and Sjögren’s syndrome, fibromyalgia, iron deficiency anemia, depression and anxiety. Prevention also reports that Carrie Ann deals with spinal stenosis, chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic pain.

In early March of this year, Carrie Ann took some time off after experiencing arm numbness and "sharp shooting pains." The Talk cohost later determined her symptoms were caused by her spinal stenosis acting up as a result of inflammation and a fibromyalgia flare.

In 2019, Carrie Ann told People that despite everything, she sees a positive side to it all.
There’s a blessing in some of these health conditions because it gives you a greater awareness of your own health," she told the outlet. "It makes you take care of yourself and realize it’s a very important component of a healthy lifestyle is to see the doctor regularly, make sure that you’re keeping up all your checkups and getting the right tests."
